Top 8 Things To Do in Dublin in 2022

Dublin is a wonderful and walkable European city with its iconic "pub culture" and genuinely friendly people. I personally have made many trips here and occasionally some intentional layovers so that I could relive some of my most fond memories of travel.
Here are my picks for the best things to do in Dublin, Ireland in 2022
Visit the Guinness Storehouse Museum

Whether you are a fan of their beer or not so much, no trip to Dublin would be complete without a visit to the Guinness Storehouse Museum. This fun tour sends you on the journey and history of how the iconic dark foamy beer came to be.
2. Take a tour of the Jameson Whiskey Distillery

Just as famous as its Guinness counterpart, but under an entirely different category altogether, the Jameson Distillery is a great place to tour the old original warehouse where it was made centuries ago and learn about its history and try some tastings of their iconic whiskey.
3. See the Book of Kells and the Old Library at Trinity College

The Book of Kells is a collection of elaborately illustrated manuscripts of the the four Gospels of the New Testament. The Book of Kells is located at Trinity College and your admission also includes a visit the beautiful old wooden library (pictured above).
4. See Dublin's Historic Churches

Dublin has many historic locations, but a visit must include the following churches of Christ Church Cathedral (pictured above) and Saint Patrick's Cathedral.
5. Take a stroll down Grafton Street

Grafton Street is a pedestrian only shopping street in central Dublin. It runs from Trinity College to St. Stephens Green. It's a great place to explore and take a break from the all the pubs.
6. Enjoy the beauty of St. Stephen's Green

St. Stephen's Green is a wonderful city park located in the heart of Dublin. Although Dublin doesn't have the hustle and bustle of other European cities, such as London or Paris, Dublin is still a major city and locals and tourist alike enjoy the calm that St. Stephen's Green provides them. Take a stroll or have yourself a nice picnic there.
7. See Dublin Castle

Dublin Castle is a beautifully, but partially preserved historic building. Only part of the building is the original structure, but many historic events happened here as it was the headquarters of the British administration in Ireland. It is still a government complex and is open to the public.
8. Enjoy the nightlife in Temple Bar

If I am being totally honest, I have spend most of my time in Dublin here in Temple Bar. It is by far the best place to spend an evening in Dublin for tourists and locals alike. There are countless pubs serving up iconic Irish drinks (think Guinness again) and famous dishes such as Bangers and Mash. There is tons of places to have a great time with live music at many of them; however, the most famous is the pub with the same name as the area which is Temple Bar.
